The John Hazard Institute is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt public charity, organized to provide three-year international comparative law fellowships outside the United States to enable young American lawyers who have passed a U.S. bar exam to study the law, law language, and law culture of countries crucial to U.S understanding of international affairs.

The fellows will immerse themselves in the law life and law proceedings of those countries with the idea that they will develop in-depth understanding of the Rules of Law that underlie societal, governmental, and business behavior.
